Tunes in Utero

I recently got a belly sound system so that Sam can listen to music while in utero. It's called the Lullabelly Music Belt. It claims to stimulate the senses and help with memory recall along with other positive side affects. If Sam hears the music now he may recognize it later. I'm not sure how this has been proven but some scientific studies have shown that baby's, at the immediate time of birth, recognize music they have heard while in the womb (another word I don't like) and they calm quickly. I also read that talking to the baby in utero has the same affect at birth (a sense of recognition and familiarity).

As you all know, I'm not a scientist, but I do plan to conduct a few experiments of my own. The first will be checking his activity level before, during and after music time. Stay tuned for the results!
