Kickin' it!

I felt the baby kick over the weekend!  I was listening to Samuel's heartbeat with my fetal doppler and it was obvious, based on the funny sounds coming from the monitor, that he was very active!  I can't really feel very much activity yet, so I rely on the doppler to hear his movements.  So, as I sat there listening to him squirming around, I placed my fingers on my belly near the doppler probe and just as I pressed my fingers down Sam kicked me in the hand!  We heard the kick on the monitor and I felt it at the same time!  I squealed with delight!  My doctor told me not to expect to feel much movement until 20 weeks or so because the placenta (gross word!) is in the front limiting how much I feel right now.  When Sam gets a little bigger I should start to feel him tumbling around like a gymnast!  I can't wait!
