Sam's Anatomy Scan was scheduled for today. It was incredible to see his organs with such detail! The tech was very thorough in explaining everything we were looking at from bones, brain structure, heart chambers, kidneys, bladder, lungs..everything! And thankfully, all of his parts are in perfect working order! The ultrasound lasted about an hour and was absolutely brilliant! Here are a few detailed pics of Samuel!
| Sam is sitting breach in my belly, with his head up and butt down. His is facing my back (so in this picture he is facing downward). His spine is fully developed and has great blood flow. His legs are curled up to the right. See his knees?! |
| Profile view. You can see his hand near his mouth. He was touching his face a lot! |
| Close up profile view with his hand at his mouth. You can see 4 of his fingers floating by his face. His thumb was tucked under his fingers. |
| Money shot! Sam's goods are sticking out between his legs (to the right of the word "boy") . |
| Sam's head (sideways). His body is to the right of his head. The large dark spot in the middle of his head is his brain, which looked perfectly formed so far! The other dark spots are his eye sockets. His left hand is beside his head, next to his ear. His face is fully developed, but there isn't much fat yet so he still looks bony and thin. |
Brian and I feel incredibly blessed that Samuel is healthy and his development is spot on! We plan to schedule another 3D ultrasound again soon and I absolutely can't wait! Grow Sam, grow!!!
