Little Buddies

Today, my dearest friend Katie came by with her one year old boy, Jacob. He had his very first birthday a few days ago in Cleveland so we couldn't attend, but luckily we get to see them often and could celebrate early last week and late, today!

Anyway, Sam and Jake have been buddies for the last year and its been so nice for him to be around a younger child. Who knows... Maybe someday he'll be a big bro, himself and this would have been good practice. Again, that's a big maybe!

Jackson got home from school early today after an early dismissal and was very excited to see Sam and "Baby Jake" playing together. He immediately went into older brother mode and was so sweet with them both that he followed them around with his arms out to protect them if they fell, he fed them snacks one-by-one and read them books on the floor. The babies listened to the stories so intently and Jackson was in his glory being a big bro. Sam is one lucky little guy. He has a wonderful role model to look up to every day!
