La Moustache

A few days ago I found a tiny picture frame buried in a drawer that I hardly ever open. When I grabbed the frame and flipped it over, a surge of memories from my childhood came flooding back. This picture was taken in 1982 at an amusement park photo booth. I looked so itty bitty next to my Dad, especially since he has all that hair!

I guess being Hawaiian comes with some great perks. We soak up a nice tan in the summer, we have shoulders made for playing football and carrying hefty babies around all day, our appetite for raw fish and rice is endless --- and we have pretty good hair. Hehe! Just look at his mane and facial hair! Even Tom Selleck would be envious of my father's glorious 'stache!
