Park Play

It's Friday and what better way to end the busy week than by going to the park! Jackson had a full week at school, including Karate class and selling popcorn for Cub Scouts - and Sam was hustling and bustling around town with Mom, he had JumpBunch class on Wednesday and also got a flu shot today. After all that, we needed to celebrate the weeks end by cutting loose and horsing around!

Up the road from our house, about 3 miles away, is a little town called Powell, OH. It's most charming and adorable with quaint little shops and boutiques brimming with interesting treasures. My favorite store is called A Paris Flea Market. Last year Brian found a pretty Frenchy cake stand for me for Christmas. Love it so so much! (Pic coming soon!). I also found a gorgeous dining table and chairs that I'd be happy to give a home to!

Anyway, besides the shops, Jeni's Ice Cream, the Columbus Zoo and A Paris Flea Market, Powell also has lots of fab parks, especially the Village Green Park with a picnic area, pavilion stage, pond, water-play area and a playground. It's darling and my pint size Joneses just love it. We decided to go today since the boys and I needed to run around and get the sillies out before the rain came.

We're looking forward to enjoying music events at the park pavillion!  Lots of holiday happenings coming up soon!

As usual, Sam and Jackson naturally gravitated towards other kids and made new friends in an instant. There were a few other little guys there today that ran around with them and played hide-n-seek. It was cute hearing them count really loud- and then seeing them peek at where the other boys were hiding! Hehe!

Airplanes!

Didja see that flash go by?   That was Sam running as fast as lightning!

The water play area, called the Splash Pad is pretty adorable. We plan to check it out next year. Seems like so long from now, but I'm sure time will fly as it always does. Where do the weeks, months, years go?!? I hope, someday soon, someone invents a way to slow time.... I'd invest everything I have just to make these days last a little longer ;)
