It's official. Jackson is the newest Wolf of Granby Pack 44! He took an interest in Cub Scouts over the summer. While we were at the Zoo one day, he saw a group on Scouts having an outing and he began to ask many questions like what they do, when they meet, where they go and why they wear a uniform. We decided to look into a summer activity with the Scouts that he could attend and take a closer look at the program. Brian and Grandpa looked at the calendar and decided to take Jackson to a BB gun and archery outing at Camp Lazarus to get a feel for what Scouts do. Grandpa Kim was a cub scout and boy scout growing up so he had lots of stories to share with Jackson, which got him very excited to join.
Once school began, the Pack officially started the year with an informative parent meeting, which Brian went to. We enrolled Jackson and purchased his uniform in anticipation for the first meeting! Look at Jackson in his uniform! He tried it on a soon as we go through the door. Pretty adorable, huh?!
He attended his first meeting, which was also a popcorn fundraiser kickoff. Brian carried a dozen boxes of popcorn through the door and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. We didn't waste any time digging in to the triple chocolaty bag which cost an arm and a leg. Totally worth every penny!
Over the weekend Jackson and Dad went door to door asking our friendly neighbors to help support the scouts and Jackson's efforts to earn money for camp. He practiced his script a few times before he left and felt very confident that his dimples and smile would definitely help! He sold over $200 just in a few hours. He's a charming little bugger. Who could resist?!
