Jackson began 2nd grade a few weeks ago! He's now a Granby Gator and a very proud one at that. After just a few days he memorized the Granby motto and made lots of new best friends. His new teacher, Mrs. Minor is just wonderful. She's had many years of experience teaching little people and you can tell the minute you meet her! She keeps her classroom impeccably clean and organized. It was so cute seeing the little desks and stacks of brand new books. I had an immediate flashback of when I was in Elementary school and sat at little desks with little chairs. And now it's Jackson's turn! He's growing up sooo fast!
The first day of school was a "Meet the Teacher" day, where students attend for a short period of time to get acquainted with Mrs. Minor and other classmates, learn their way around the classroom and also give the parents an opportunity to learn a few things about what's to come this year. Jackson was thoroughly excited and proud to put his school supplies away in his desk, see his name on the classroom wall and have his picture taken in front of the school!

Mimi was waiting patiently in the driveway for Jackson to arrive home from school! He was a little embarrassed that I was taking pictures, so I limited it to a dozen photos as opposed to the 3 dozen I would have normally taken ;)
