Mama Love

Waking up to the smell of yummy goodness on Mother's Day makes for a great start to the day!  While laying in bed I could hear a flurry of activity happening downstairs.  Whisking.  Mixing.  Chatting.  Laughing.  I had a feeling there were surprises in store for me, so I stayed tucked cozy in my bed and waited patiently.  Sure enough, a few minutes later I could hear the pitter patter of little feet climbing the stairs and making their way down the hall to my bedroom.  I pretended to sleep then peeked one eye open and there were my boys...all 4 of them, Buster included, standing there to wish me a Happy Mother's Day!  Jackson was carrying a beautiful potted red rose plant and Brian had a lovely breakfast tray and flower arrangement in his arms.  Sam just bobbled all around the room like a goofball!

Ya never know what kind of breakfast awaits you when a bunch of boys take over the kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a plate full of neatly rolled perfectly round crepes on an adorable "It's Your Special Day" plate.  Each was stuffed with a different jam and then topped with a little dusting of powdered sugar.  Jackson made me a special cup of tea and I had lots of cards to open which always mean so much to me.  I save every single card they ever give me.  Soon I'll need another keepsake box to store all of them because the first is overflowing! Anyway, after sharing bites of my breakfast with each of them, we all snuggled in bed and laughed and giggled about nothing in particular for a long time.  The highlight of my day - even though the rest of it was pretty great too!

Jackson drew the most adorable Mother's Day robot!  I'd love to have it made into an actual doll...check out this cool site!  A woman takes children's drawings and actually turns them into a real doll or whatever it is!  Have to get this done some time!

Sam blowing kisses and waving and saying hi  to the camera while we were snuggling in bed this morning!  He sounds like a little Southern Belle when he says Hi....it sounds like "Haaa" with a southern drawl.   Love this boy like crazy!

Marble Eyes!

Quick pic before heading to the Zoo - two weekends prior to Mother's Day.

Sam's new bag...for snacks or toys!

Sam dragged Jackson's backpack to the corner to snoop.

Cinco di Mayo Siesta.  It's amazing how men can sleep through anything, including toys being stacked all over them!
