Weekly Digest

It's amazing how a few weeks time can change everything.  3 weeks ago I was a nervous wreck every day and today, I'm blissfully happy to be carrying a healthy 2.5 inch baby!  We had our 12 week ultrasound on Wednesday and things are most excellent!  Baby Jones was thrusting his/her little hips to the beat of its own drum.   We could see hands and feet....holy crap is that exciting or what?!?!  Here's a (rather blurry) pic of our wee one!  Profile shot, facing upward.

We had a pretty quiet week.  Monday, Brian had the day week off, so we went to the pool with Jackson.   It  was incredibly hot so I planted myself, belly up, under a giant umbrella in the shade.    Our pool is at our gym, so naturally (or unnaturally in some cases) there were skinny bitches everywhere making me feel so...well....pregnant.  While I pondered being jealous for a moment, I realized that I already knew I was one hot mama.  Brian even told me so, and that was all I needed to hear.

Brian had a Randys show on Tuesday, which I didn't attend.  He said I received 2  Randys demerits since it was the first show I've ever missed since we started dating & got married.   I was sad to miss the show because I know how much Brian appreciates my support and I adore The Randys, but it was also really nice to have a quiet night at home, just me, the baby and a chick flick.

The rest of the week was spent napping on the couch with the kitty, golfing with my hubby and shopping a little.  I found a few baby items on sale.  I was apprehensive about buying these things, but as soon as I swiped my credit card, I was thrilled with my purchases!!  I bought the cutest and most appropriate little red onesie!  I couldn't resist because I knew Brian would love it!

I also bought a few packages of white onesies, which were only $2.50 per 5 pack.  I found a giant box of baby wipes marked down, so in the cart they went!  I only spent $20 and left with a bag full of baby goodies.  It's exciting starting this shopping process.   Onesies and wipies and diapers, oh my!!
