Trick or Treat!

Last Friday, Brian and I celebrated Halloween a few days early with The Randys and some friends!  We donned our costumes and headed out for a fun night of music and drinks.  The Randys and another great local band, The Spikedrivers, shared the stage at Woodlands Tavern, a relaxed local bar that hosts many talented musicians.  The Randys had the crowd dancing and singing as usual...always fun!  And yes, that is Brian wearing a helmut while he played the drums!

Brian found his costume while we were thrifting for cool old stuff at the local thrift stores.  I noticed it out of the corner of my eye and knew right away it would be the perfect costume for Jonesy!  I decided to be a cute French mime and was able to put my costume together pretty quick.  All I needed to find were a few finishing touches like white gloves and fake eyelashes, which I tracked down at a small shop in our neighborhood.  I think we both got into the spirit of the holiday pretty darn well!

This past Monday we celebrated beggars night with Sam and Jackson.  We've had their costumes picked for a few weeks now so getting ready to go door to door was a cinch!  Jackson has a new obsession with The Super Mario Brothers games so he just had to be Mario.  I wasn't quite sure what to dress Sam as, but after some fun inspiration on the website called Pinterest, we decided that he would be a Lobster in a pot!  We lucked out with great weather so kids were out in abundance!  It was definitely a fun night out with the boys!

Everett & Jeanie, our neighbors, shared lots of candy with the boys!
